Personal Development Meets Conspiracy Theories

Bookmark and Share
Hey there everyone!!

People continue to ask me why I share conspiracy theories, especially since I am so into personal development.  I had a big phase in 2010 through 2012, and have slowed down now.  However, this has always been a part of my life.

Since grade school, I questioned how the world works, from institutions to governments.  I was very disappointed in our world.

Being a computer hacker at age thirteen, I resonated with this community’s manifesto which articulated my own consciousness concisely as follows:

“We explore... and you call us criminals.  We seek after knowledge... and you call us criminals.  We exist without skin color, without nationality, without religious bias... and you call us criminals.  You build atomic bombs, you wage wars, you murder, cheat, and lie to us and try to make us believe it's for our own good, yet we're the criminals.” (The Mentor, 1986)

Are you conscious of the significance portrayed by the last sentence?  I tried telling my teachers, counselors, and friends, thinking that they might have solutions I’m not aware of.  Some understood the real corruptness of the world, but they displayed apathy or said, “Well, that’s just the way it is.”

There were a couple of people who said, “I can’t wait to see your name in big bright lights letting me know that you’re changing the world.”

But how could a teenager change the world?

In retrospect, I see what happens to some people now.  Their depression takes them to socially accepted ways of distracting them from their holistic awareness.  Extreme examples which I was introduced to were pharmaceuticals, institutional indoctrination, addiction to news media, and psychiatry.  These same people then grow up in that very system, and continue the cycle of teaching others only what they know.

And through economic enslavement, those same people end up reinforcing the same system, conscious of it or not.  Generations of people cannot break this chain because the system has created good people with good hearts, inaccurately believing that they are positively impacting others in a way that is serving humanity.

Luckily, I saw the genius of the personal development industry, too.  It was really simple, actually.  Rather than suppress my true intelligence with more drugs and more propaganda, it allowed me to focus my intelligence on things that I could control, starting with my thoughts and conscious choices.  My psychiatrist did introduce me to one of my favorite quotes, which reads:

God, grant me the serenity
To accept the things I cannot change;
Courage to change the things I can;
And wisdom to know the difference.
- Reinhold Niebuhr, 1934

So my authentic transformation started by me changing myself and my own world first.  At age fifteen, I started applying “The Secret” (the law of attraction) and generated mental, emotional, and spiritual health, transcending my depression.  My relationships flourished and my career skyrocketed.  I successfully impacted my community by applying The Secret 100%, almost becoming a religious fanatic -- out of necessity…  I had to block out of my awareness how corrupt the world really was so I could focus on my ability to improve my own life first.

Here’s what’s interesting.  The world didn’t get better because I took my attention off of it.  The corruptness didn’t disappear.  In fact, many say the world is much more corrupt today.

This reminds me of a beautiful scene in the movie Sneakers (1992) where the villain said:

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

How can masses of people still believe that war is necessary in our world today?  It’s simply propaganda, brain-washing and mind-control.  What else would allow so many hard-working people to give their money to all the big banks who literally ripped them off by changing, manipulating, and breaking the laws?  The system continues to allow criminals to be criminals, while the numbed see it as their “nightly entertainment” and continue eating their dinner.

Have you heard the phrases “you should be happy with what you have” or  “consider yourself lucky”?   Some could say that these are values pushed onto us by institutions and media so that we become subordinate to authority.  This type of attitude traps us into feeling good about our misery.  That’s why so many people are stuck in the illusion of paradise (while millions unnecessarily die every day), feeling good about applying The Secret.

Here’s something visionary to consider:

What we deserve is paradise on earth.  We have the resources, the intelligence, and the ability to sustain a lifestyle for everyone on the planet that far exceeds the highest quality of living today.  If that is what is possible, and if that is what we divinely deserve, then we should NOT be happy with what we have, and we should NOT consider ourselves lucky.

What keeps us from having this paradise on earth is the unwillingness to learn about the political in economic constructs of the world.  The constructs in the world we currently have are obsolete, and the first step towards transforming them, is first becoming conscious of how they truly work.

A great movie to watch is THRIVE - The World Is Waking Up.  You can watch it here for FREE.  http://InspirationalEntertainment.com

People risk their whole lives for the freedoms immigrants like me are conscious of every single day -- and now multinational corporations are taking away those freedoms from us, right under our noses!

I’m not asking you to protest for hours on end.  I’m not asking you to boycott products you love.  Hey, I’m not even asking you to stop working for the corrupt financial sector if you still have a job there.

I’m asking you to watch an ENTERTAINING movie that will have you become present to the current construct of our world, and give you direction to transform it if you choose.  Unlike most movies in this genre, it has a very positive, personal-development type of feel, with researched links to all of their claims.

There are a number of activists in this movement that haven’t done personal development.  So they constantly complain instead of focusing on solutions.  I think personal development is a prerequisite to changing the world, so that we can be positive and focus on solutions.

Somehow destiny has brought us together.   You are one of the few who will get it, and help us transcend humanity into a greater place.

If you’ve done a lot of personal development in your lifetime, then you are ready to watch THRIVE.  And if you haven’t done personal development programs before, now is a great time to start.
