In retrospect, while my challenge may have been many, imagine how it was for my mother, who had to raise (three out of seven) disabled children, in a new country without even knowing the language.
Adversity is a part of life, but it doesn't have to drag you down.
When adversity happens how do you react? Do you sink in self-pity or gather the courage to fight the disappointments, setbacks, failures and losses?
Life is 10% what happened and 90% how you react to it. You may not have been fully responsible for your misery but it is your responsibility to come out of it. It is a challenge to stay strong but this is your opportunity to learn more about yourself and grow slowly but steadily.
I will not only share my own experiences with adversity, but also share my secrets and ideas on how you can help yourself deal with unexpected obstacles, tragedies, or negative situations that arise in your life.
