Aren’t you as busy as Toronto’s Mayor, Rob Ford?

Bookmark and Share
Hey there everyone!!

So a picture of Rob Ford went viral, showing that he was reading while driving his car.  In response, he exclaims, “I’m a busy man.”

I think that is the most insensitive thing a mayor could say to their citizens, and illustrates just how disconnected he is from the average person.

Don’t you think that single moms trying to make ends meet aren’t just as busy?  Don’t you think that teachers who are fighting an oppressive government and raising families aren’t just as busy?

Does Mr. Ford think most of Toronto sits around all day trying to figure out what to do with their time?

Whether we’re a janitor or the C.E.O. of a Fortune 500 company, we all have 24 hours in a day.  Any person who understands time management would agree that it is how we choose to spend the 24 hours that determines our effectiveness, productivity, and lifestyle.

Should a person with a disability (who usually takes twice as much time to accomplish simple daily tasks), be given a driver by the city just because their life is too full and busy?

Should an immigrant who can’t speak English and takes twice as much time to navigate the city, be given a driver to even the score?

Rather, all these people need to understand how to prioritize their activities and maximize their agenda--without resorting to dangerous and unethical behavior.

That common sense is something I would hope that a Mayor would have, and doesn’t need a police force to explain it to him over social media.

Man, I wish I had a driver, because the TTC (Toronto’s Transit Commission) is pathetic.  Just today, I went back and forth on the streetcar for thirty minutes because the drivers weren’t able to help me find my stop.  :(

Exposed – Visalus 90 Day Challenge!

Bookmark and Share
Hey there everyone!!

I’ve been hoping to send out videos of myself over the last ten years to all of you, but it is next to impossible for me.  I did one video several years ago, and that took me forever.

However, I just committed to a 90-day challenge to transform my body, and if I capture it on video, I could win the top prize of being featured in an upcoming reality show co-produced by Ben Silverman!

Check out my Day 1 video here.
http://ordinarywords.com/exposed

Ben Silverman is one of Hollywood’s most influential media producers. A former NBC president responsible for shows like The Office and The Biggest Loser, he’ll be scouting out his next stars during the Challenge SHOWdown!

Be part of an amazing community of ordinary people getting extraordinary results.  There are buttons on that web site, if you would like to join me on this challenge.

In either case, please forward this e-mail, like the web site, and share the video to help me win this contest.

I know you’ll like what you see!!
