Department of Peace & the Happy Planet Index

Bookmark and Share
Hey there Citizens of Humanity!!

Have you ever heard of The Department of Peace?  It’s amazing how many transformational organizations are shifting the consciousness of humanity.  Spiritual activist Marianne Williamson is leading this movement.  Watch her talk about it now -- it’s only 99 seconds.

For some more substance, uncover the Happy Planet Index in this 13 minute TED Talk.  If you haven’t heard a TED talk before, you’re in for a thrilling ride!!

Statistician Nic Marks asks why we measure a nation's success by its productivity -- instead of by the happiness and well-being of its people. He introduces the Happy Planet Index, which tracks national well-being against resource use (because a happy life doesn't have to cost the earth). Which countries rank highest in the HPI? You might be surprised.

Hey there everyone!!

My friend, Elizabeth Rizzuto, is an award-winning producer/publisher who just told me about a brand new genre she invented -- horror meets personal development!

Watch the trailer right now:

This movie explores mental health, and having a personal experience with severe depression, I acknowledge Elizabeth and Daniel Reininghaus (award-winning director) for using entertainment as a vehicle for social change and conscious evolution.

There is someone we all know that is suffering some type of mental illness from depression, bi-polar, schizophrenia to many others and many of them do not have the support required to live a meaningful and productive life.

Who Am I?

Danish Ahmed is a blind, Pakistani albino. Really, that’s who he is.  He’s an entrepreneur, inspirational speaker, and best-selling author of "A Dictionary of Distinctions".  He has also created a source document for the truth activist movement which outlines hundreds of solutions to rid the world of war and corruption.

Today Danish produces inspirational entertainment, overrides a multi-million dollar network marketing organization, and is Founding Arc Angel for Humanity Unites Brilliance - a humanitarian organization committed to eliminating world poverty.

Background

In his presentations, Danish draws upon his life experience as an albino and legally blind Pakistani immigrant, who arrived in Canada with his family at age four. Growing up in an impoverished area of downtown Toronto, he overcame many challenges including drug-treated depression and thoughts of suicide, until his amazing turnaround at age of fourteen, through a motivational infomercial.

Vision

Danish’s vision is to help transform the lives of millions of people around the world through a new media genre -- the convergence of entertainment and inspiration. For example, Danish produced "What is Love?", a three minute movie on the Internet, now seen by over one million people across 112 countries. Other movies Danish has produced include “Forgiveness”, “Journey of Attraction”, “Our World” (translated into 15 languages), and “One More Hour”.

Danish Ahmed worked with Stuart Knight to produce two hit musicals, I DECIDE and SHIFT. Both shows incorporated theatre, spoken word, slam poetry, beat-boxing, improve, song, dance, and multi-media, “I DECIDE” was an urban musical that ran for three-and-half years, attracting hundreds of people each week, and receiving rave reviews from The Toronto Star, The Globe & Mail, and The National Post.

Today Danish is working on a television series, a reality show, and his auto-biographical movie, “BLIND VISION: Truth Is Hear”.

Experience

Danish Ahmed has accomplished many firsts. He was designing curricula and teaching by the time he was fifteen years of age. He co-developed a revolutionary Internet technology that became the foundation of a $1.5 million dot-com startup. By age twenty-three, he had consulted with leading companies and had worked in the industries of stock market analysis, geographic information systems, and international trade. Danish was also involved in obtaining a U.S. patent in the area of biotechnology. Although Danish's skill is technical, his passion is people -- so he continually seeks to integrate and implement peak-performance technologies within himself, his family, his co-workers, and his community.

For twenty years, Danish has enrolled himself into learning from every possible success coach. His experience includes programs by Dr. John Gray, Anthony Robbins, Dr. Wayne Dyer, Accelerated Learning, Sterling Institute of Relationships, Toastmasters, T. Harv Eker, Outward Bound, Up With People, the Sedona Method, Neuro-Linguistic Programming and The Landmark Forum.  He has also interviewed stars from “The Secret”, including Bob Proctor and James Arthur Ray.

Personal:

His personal interest in politics, dance, improv, martial arts, and spirituality, has led him to travel around North America and to countries such as France, Hungary, Cuba, Russia, and Saudi Arabia. From visiting the White House on numerous occasions to hand-gliding over Ontario, Danish draws on his diversity of experiences to give his audiences a unique dose of empowerment that can’t be found elsewhere.

Danish strives to create communities that integrate transformation with social events. Join us on Facebook to find out about our upcoming events. http://www.facebook.com/OrdinaryWords

These 3 Questions Can Transform Your Life!

Bookmark and Share
Hey there everyone!!

There were three questions I asked myself regularly that transformed my life.  Anthony Robbins taught me this when I was fifteen years old.  He said not just to ask, but after awaking and before going to bed, really feel the answers to these questions:

1. What am I most excited about in my life?
(Or, what could I be excited about if I really wanted to feel excited?)

2. What do I appreciate most in my life today?

(Or, what could I appreciate if I really wanted to appreciate something?)

3. Who do I love and who loves me?
(Or, who could I love if I really wanted to love somebody?)

I’ve learned that it comes back to basics like these.  Take the time to answer these questions (and really feel the answers) yourself.  Maybe even take the time to write the answers, and forward this exercise to those you care about.

In 2004, I created The Love Movie.  While the simplicity of the movie is just as profound today, I’ve learned a lot over the past six years.  Even if you’ve seen this movie before, take the time to watch this newly designed version.

Find out “What Is Love?” in less than 3 minutes.

P.S. Here are my answers:

1. What am I most excited about in my life?
I get to work on such innovative and inspiring projects that make a difference in the world.  My businesses are changing people’s lives every day, and I have the ability to affect culture and humanity.  I’m really excited about 2012 as well.  ;)

2. What do I appreciate most in my life today?
I live in a country that is one of the freest in the world.  This culture respects equality, diversity, and social justice.  I live in an open society where I can exercise free speech, peacefully assemble communities, and serve as an activist for truth.  Toronto is one of the world’s biggest centers for social change, social networking and alternative lifestyles.

3. Who do I love and who loves me?
I love so many of my friends, from those I see only once every few years, to those who are only in my life for a short season.  I relate to so many people, where love easily flows to almost everyone I meet.  I love my super friends, and fellow visionaries... And I love my party buddies and cuddle partners.  So many family members love me as I am, and support me in what I am up to.  The person who loves me the most is my mom.

Listen to yourself.

Sex, $$, Religion & Politics (The 4 Awakenings)

Bookmark and Share
Hey there Visionaries!!

It’s a shame that language can be used in such a destructive way -- where people are conditioned to disregard entire topics of significance simply because of what they think they already know about it.

Let’s start with religion.  There’s an awakening where many people today say, “I’m spiritual, not necessarily religious” because they are realizing a fundamental hypocrisy of religions (condemning nonbelievers).

The spiritual awakening is to consciously co-create with everyone for the greater good of all.

We’ve been conditioned not to talk about religion/spirituality in mixed groups so we don’t take a look at our greater purpose in life.  Isn’t that the most important thing of all?

Similarly, we’ve been conditioned to think of money as evil and may get turned off by terms such as “multi-level marketing.”  The financial awakening is to get out of the rat-race of exchanging time for money, and create sources of residual income so that we can do with our time what we love and what will make a difference for all of us.

Why aren’t we supposed to talk about politics with others?  The political structures of our planet directly affect the quality of our lives, and more significantly, the lives of our children.  Don’t we care about the direction of the human species?  Have we been so drugged and brainwashed as a culture that we have become apathetic to our own enslavement?

The political awakening is shattering the left/right (democratic/republican, conservative/liberal) paradigm.  It is understanding that social engineers have used the term “conspiracy theory” as a hypnotic trigger for people to dismiss valid information.

Finally, let’s talk about sex.  It’s fascinating to me when people get offended by a rare use of the word “fuck” to emphasize a point, and then they go and watch commercials/news on television with their children that have subliminal messages of incest and pedophilia.  If those who get offended would actually stop and listen to the lyrics of some rap artists who use that word often, they might realize that those artists are much more intelligent and socially conscious than they are.

The sexual awakening is to see substance, not cosmetics.  It is going past the physical cover into the divine essence of another person.  It is transcending from the superficial to the supernatural.  It is co-creation at its best.
